About Native Naturals – American Indian
Spa Line
Mission:
Our mission is to introduce American Indian herbs, botanicals and scents to a world wide
audience through a high quality spa line. Native Naturals is the very first professional spa line that is American Indian
owned and operated – the owner is an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe of North Dakota. Native Naturals
– American Indian Spa Line is for those who want to connect more fully with the world of plants and spirits; to reconnect
with the source that deeply feeds us - to bring mind, body and spirit into perfect balance.
The Inspiration:
The inspiration behind Native Naturals came from a trip to the Ozark Mountains of Eureka Springs, Arkansas. While shopping
in the local spa shops it occurred to Indian Entrepreneurs Keith DeHaas (Lakota Sioux) and Mary DeHaas (Assiniboine), that
there were no Native American spa products or scents available. Scents like Sweetgrass, Sage and Cedar were virtually impossible
to find.
Upon returning home to Norman, Oklahoma, they began to develop and manufacture their products, utilizing
their knowledge of Native American Ethnobotany to create holistic and signature scented products. They started with batches
of handcrafted soaps and body scrubs that were eagerly snatched up at every pow-wow and Indian event they took them to, along
with their Rez Dog Clothing Company, American Indian Apparel line.
Product Line:
After months of testing
and formulating their line of purely natural, indigenous spa products, they trademarked Native Naturals and thus their company
was born. Native Naturals soon signed with a cosmetic company to professionally manufacture their unique Aloe Vera based spa
line that includes: Botanical Shampoo, Moisturizing Conditioner, Botanical Body Wash, Hand & Body Lotion, Bath Gems, Salt
Glow Body Scrub, Red Earth Facial Mud, White Earth Body Mud, Red Corn Body Scrub and Hot Stone Massage Therapy Oil. They became
the very first American Indian owned and operated company to have a professionally produced line of spa products that feature
Indigenous scents.
In 2005, Native Naturals brought on board Account Executive Lucille White (Seneca) of Native
Visions. Ms. White is the East Coast Account Representative and Distributor for the Hotel Amenities line. And 2009 brought
Account Representative Celeste Maupin into the company as well. Celeste brings 15 years of hotel management experience to
the hotel amenities sales and marketing department and we are glad to have her as part of the Native Naturals team as well.

Now Native Naturals is available for your hotel rooms, spa or resort in personal hotel amenities sizes. For
so many people, their only contact and impression of Indians is in our casinos and hotels. We introduce a little Native American
art and culture to the masses, so why not carry the theme into our hotel rooms with Native scented shampoo, conditioner, lotion
and soaps!

Integrating Native American
Therapies into your Spa:
Native Naturals consultants are now available to train and certify your spa therapists on traditional
Native American Spa treatments. Back bar professional size Native Naturals products are also available to accompany these
unique romantic Native spa treatments.
Giving Back to the Indian Community:
For five years Rez Dog Clothing
Company and Native Naturals produced the “American Indian Beauties” calendar. A portion of the proceeds of the
calendar goes to the Native American Cancer Research Corp. in Denver, Colorado in the memory of Rita Ann McLaughlin DeHaas
– Miss Indian America 1955 (mother of owner Keith DeHaas) who died of breast cancer in 1987. “May every Indian
woman be as beautiful in heart and spirit as my mother.” – Keith DeHaas, owner Native Naturals
